These are lovely and I really enjoy looking at all the different styles, Bill! I'm especially liking the ones that are more...how would you say...staccato? Not blended? It's so easy to see temperature/value shifts in those (which I find helpful as I try and wrap my head around this thing called "color".)

Bill, these are just sumptious, full of life strokes, you best work I feel. Thank you very much for sharing your inspriational work with us, we can certainly learn a lot from the way you handle each stroke and capture their uniqueness.

Thanks Bill,
It's nice to see such a variety of work. "Living brush stroke."

Bill, thanks so much for taking the time to photograph all these paintings and post them! What a treasure trove of beautiful work. It's so valuable to be able to see the mastery of another artist, especially close up. Sometime I hope to see some of this work in person, but the internet is still a remarkable teaching tool. I also especially like the ones with the livelier brushstrokes.

Thanks everyone.
I relieve stress by doing these fun pieces from time to time. This is a new 8x10 oil on panel. I did it as an exercise for my student apprentices.
The close up is much larger than the actual painting.
