Hey Bob,
Haven't popped in here in a while, but just noticed you posted Janet here. I think she turned out lovely and it was interesting hearing about your challenges with her that you were able to overcome and the hands on experimentation with the patina when things didn't go quite as you'd hoped. So glad that you had the confidence to see her through to the finish and not give up - congratulations are due for that feat alone! It does get easier, believe me.
I completely agree about the satisfaction of using your hands - especially in ceramic, when the clay is fresh and soft. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it..
