By the way, i loved that draw you did from the old lady with the white hat. Spectacular. Is that charcoal? Amazing!

Alexandra:
I loved the drapery you do on your portraits. Very, very nice.
Edna Andrade is my favorite one. I loved her pose and the natural light.
Is she Brazilian? This surname is typically Brazilian.
Great work!

Thanks for the compliment, Alex. It's pencil with a charcoal background.

Thanks Allan!
Your portraits are also incredible. My favorite is Egon. Beautiful light.
See you around in the forum.

Wonderful self portrait Alex. The style reminds me of a pen and ink drawing. Will very much enjoy seeing more of your work here - thanks for joining.

Thanks a lot Heidi!
I really appreciate your comments about my work.
Trust me, you dont want to see what i can do with pen and ink. My place is between the pencils and oils...
Your sculptures are really impressive... I never tryed sculping before. But im sure i will give it a try at the next semester at my university.
By the way, somebdoy coul please tell me what is the difference between "new member", "juried member" and "approved member"? I tryed to find someplace on the forum the explanation for that but was not able to find...
Thanx again everybody!
Alex

Andrade is her husband's name, and I am not sure where he was from, but it might have been Brazil. Her maiden name is Wright but she gained a reputation as an artist using "Andrade." Thanks for saying such nice things about my drapery, Alex--I never thought much of it myself so I'm glad someone does!

Alex: Andrade is either Brazilian or Portuguese, very common surnames here.
Marina: Your work is trully impressive! Thanx for the welcome!
