My Niece's baby
I now have fourteen grand nieces and nephews so I am creating portraits of all of them, in oils. this is a study for one of them

Patty,
There's a solid feeling of form in this, along with flowing, confident lines.
You're ambitious to do all these portraits--but I guess you have to be fair to all the grandchildren! Cecilia Beaux favored some of her nieces and nephews over others and the un-favored happened to be Catherine Drinker Bowen, the author, and she wrote all about it for posterity!

Patty, I love this - it has a lovely quality, reminiscent of my favorite drawings by Holbein. I look forward to seeing the paintings!

It is a lovely piece Patty.
I can't wait to see the paintings of them all.
Keep up the good work.
