I agree with Julie that you captured a wonderful expression, very intense, The eye is so sharp and clear, and is both the focal point of the painting and the point from which the expression emanates.

Unfortunately the details of the pattern don't show up very well (on my monitor anyway) The clothing is a more broken pattern of dark aubergine (or should that be eggplant?!)
