Latest efforts using oils
On the new members forum I posted some of my drawings. These are a couple of my latest efforts in the oil medium. It is frustrating not yet having the same technical control over a less familiar medium, but the long hours are starting to pay off.

James,
That doctor has to be pleased. It's a strong portrait. Both of these are.
Your drawings are fantastic. I am in awe of your ability, and your paintings are full of competence. You must be pleased with your accomplishments.

I love the tones you used for her skin. The red that radiates from her hands and face just makes the painting glow.

James,
These are very strong compositions. They look like real people with real expressions, which always captures my attention. I also like the color choices very much. I am struck with how acutely and carefully you have observed these people as you were painting them.

Really nice. I like both. Nice backgrounds.
