2 Portraits from life




this first one was about 2 hours. It's size is 16" x18".

the second one was 6 hours with model breaks. 16"x 20"

I like them too, especially the second one, it has presence and is so well drawn.

Do you join a painting group? I wish that I could find one here, it's great practice.

thanks Allan, A good friend of my Aaron Coberly runs a open painting session here in Seattle, it's really not a group, but I always go.

And I hire models on my own when time allows. This is something I going to be doing more this year. More full figure pieces is what I'm shooting for.

Joe, these are great! You really got the hair texture in the first one. he second one is so assured and captivating, and interestingly placed on the canvas.
