Images of Students




I am a frequent drawer and painter of my students. Here is one from last summer. I have only been an occasional lurker here but thought I'd jump in with both feet here and submit a painting
16"x20" oil on canvas.

Richard,
thank you for showing us such a bold work. I really like your expressionist approach and find this a very communicative portrait.
The choice of painting her with her big bag as if she is just ready to leave makes the picture very alive

Richard, I like the muscularity of this young woman and the strong, descriptive lines. There's a sense of energy and movement that's missing in a lot of portraits of young women that I see. Thanks for posting this here.
