Jennifer and Pelfrey paintings

HI everyone,

I hope you are all doing well! I haven't posted for a long time, but have continued to admire all the great work here that you do.

Thought I'd show you some of the portraits I've been doing this year.

Linda, these are all super, this one and the other posts! Good for you! Are all these clients recommendations? I find that most all of my clients are just that, recommendations from satisfied customers and friends of friends.

Hi Mischa

I get most of my clients "direct" - them seeing my work and wanting one for themselves. Many do know each other so I imagine that makes the decision all the easier, especially when they know clients who commissioned me multiple times.

These are wonderful, Linda. I am always happy to see your posts pop up because I know it will be a treat for my eyes. I especially like the first one here of the girl with the horse. The whole painting is so beautiful. I really admire your work.
Happy Holidays
Patty

Linda,

It is great to see your work on the Forum. A little while ago I was wondering why we had not heard from you in a while, but I assumed you must be busy. Sorry to make a general comment about all your work at once. I find your compositions delightful, always a treat to see. I admire the way you found all the colors in the flash photo of the child in the Santa costume. The water of the accompanying painting is beautifully transparent, and I love the curve of the river and the placement of the boy in the composition. You always find a way to make even the clients' old snapshots into your own work. Also I like seeing the people on the porch relating to each other. I could go on and on. In general, I think it is refreshing to know that some clients want something different.

Thanks guys for your comments. It's always enjoyable to share and to see everyone's work. I'm sorry to not be more of a participant on the forum, but it's a delight to say "Hi" . Looking to go to next years convention as well.

Hi Mary,

We all have our styles that we have to be proud of... some people envy us for doing what we do, or our "skill" - and yet actually, we flounder as much as anybody and poke holes in our work as much as the worst critic.

I love how this forum allows us to celebrate each other while risking the "ulitmate" - peer review.
Thanks
