Model- two sittings

This is a painting of a beautiful russian model full of character, done over two days in my art class.
I was trying to mix really beautiful greys for the background and keep everything very light.

Bravo Ilaria,
this is so delicate and lively, your Grey's are very expressive. I especially like how you painted the skin tones and the hair without too many details and sharp lines.

What a fine portrait this is! Everything about it is so fresh, and natural, and made as if effortlessly. The modelling of the head is solid without looking overworked and the details are simplified to the bare essentials....VERY nice work!

Oh, Ilaria! This is so elegantly simple! The colors in her hair knock my socks off.

Thanks to all for looking and commenting.
Painting in an art class is always different, mainly because you can't always choose a position, and then there is the time limit factor.
Anyway it is good fun. Here is a detail of the head

Hello Ilaria

This is a very nice painting. I think the drawing in the shirt is especially good - the way you have created form and structure with differing tone and a few well-placed lines. You have also integrated the figure and the background very well too. You have achieved a great sense of space and daylight. Your colours are lovely - I agree with everyone here. Very well done.

What a knockout painting, Ilaria! Everything about it - the grays, the combination of mass and line, the color variety - shows such intelligent and deft paint handling. All the life work you're doing is really paying off for you, it really shows here.

You get such a lively, urgent sense of life in paintings and this one is no exception.
