Courtney in clay

Most of you have probably already seen the demo of this in the WIP section, but now that the modeling is finished (all but final cleanup anyway), I will show it here.
This is lifesize in ceramic clay 18 inches tall. After I dry and fire it, I'll add a hot (cream color) patina and turned pedestal base and show the final result here also. This has been a fun one since it is a local client and a very pretty one to boot. There is no comparison to getting live sittings and is especially helpful in 3D. Anyway, here are a few angles and a couple of closeups.

Amazing, Heidi! I feel as though I'm looking at a living woman in monochrome. You did a fantastic job. I hope she's really pleased. (She should be!)

Marvellous. And to a painter like me who's never tried sculpture, completely incomprehensible. Even after reading your step by step threads, something like this still seems impossible to achieve.

Dear Heidi,

She's gorgeous! I can't wait to see the final fired and patinated Courtney.

Heidi,
technically perfect, AND beautiful, sensitive, graceful. I love the delicate modeling of the details. And the way you treated the eyelashes is a success, it adds a very feminine touch.

Many many thanks you guys!
I spent all of yesterday sitting in the hot sun at my little potters wheel trying to turn a base for this. I can see this is going to be a little more difficult than I thought. Well, one more skill to master I suppose. If all else fails, I'll hire my brother the potter!
