Thank you for permitting me on your forum

It's my pleasure to be accepted to post on this forum for portraitists. It's my belief that as online associations allow serious painters to interact and see one another's work with an ease which was geographically impossible previously, the resulting synergy will result in a renewed excellence in the visual arts in coming years.

I learned to paint in my father's studio at an early age, and have pursued a life career in commercial art. As the computer has "automated" so many of the tasks of layout and illustration in recent years, I have turned increasingly to "fine art" to justify my life-long compulsion to put brushes into paint.

The images are life-study sketches (16x20") of two of three brothers I currently have a commission to paint in a group portrait.
