True Thomas the Storyteller
True Thomas the Storyteller 20x16 Oil/Linen
This was a fun one for me. I hired this gentleman Robert Seutter who plays the persona of "True Thomas de Rhymour, a 13th Century Scottish poet and prophet." He came and sat for me for 4 hours and while I painted away he told me tales of Celtic folklore and sang celtic songs. It was a fantastic experience! He had never sat for anyone before and he did a marvelous job.
This was one of those paintings that has a wonderful memory for me.
Thanks, True!
Enjoy.
Tony
P.S. This painting is on display at the Los Angeles Academy of Figurative Art

An unmistakable Pro! It's gorgeous, fresh and lush. Haunting color.
Congratulations!

Beautiful Tony!
I love the way you complemented the cool pinks of the skin with the olive tones in the hair.

I like this one, Tony. I think I'd like to know him.
