Sarah

This might be my last drawing for a long while. Then again, a while for me is not drawing over a week's time. Unless I'm inspired to draw, I'm going to concentrate on doing some color. I'm about to start doing some pastels on a regular basis and figure that will take up most of my time. The good thing is that I get inspired pretty easily, and it's been very slow at work, so I can always draw there if I start having graphite withdrawals.

Anyhoo, here's the latest. It's 18x9", graphite on fawn colored Stonehenge. This is the only woman I've done that has actually had a little modeling experience. She's in the NY area, if anyone's interested in using her, I can try asking her if she's willing.

Thanks for looking.

Jimmie, this is great. Love it.

What really scares me is the amount of work you'll be doing when you quit your job and do this full-time.

Another great one Jimmie! Glad to hear you are going to work on color. If those twins on your site are any indication - your color is just great.

Jimmie:

I, for one, will miss your drawings, but am looking forward to the advent of color. This drawing is very very nice.

Thanks guys. Started a pastel piece, taking it real easy. I'm hoping to have a day where I can work on it for several hours at a time. It feels very awkward only working a couple of hours, then trying to get back in a flow a day or two later.

I also posted a different pic of Sarah to show a better sense of the paper color. You can see a big difference between the full figure and the close-up which looks too gray.
