I've completed a few paintings that I wanted to share.

These are nice - they show a lot of skill. I especially like the first one.
Are these done from straight photos or life or a mixture of both? What are the sizes of these paintings? Are they oil? On canvas?

Jeremiah - I dont remember you - maybe I just missed other posts by you - can I ask - how old you are? Just being nosey

Thank you very much.

These are done from photos that I took of each person. I like to work from life but it's usually too much of an inconvenience to the sitter so I just take a bunch of photos and work from those.

The sizes are:
16" X 20"
24" X 30"
16" X 20"

I've been here for a while. You might recognize a painting or two on my website that I may have posted here in the past. I usually just come here to marvel at the work of other artists on this forum but I do occasionally post my own

As for my age, I just turned 23 a little over a week ago.

Jerimiah,

The girl in red is so alive, so very expressive. I just love her, she jumps off the page. She is also tremendously contemporary, someone of our age, not at all nostalgic.

A terrific accomplishment for your or anyone's age. Beautifully done!

Congratulations on your progress. You've come a long way in a relatively short period of time. I second Sharon on the nostalgia thing. Good work.

Sharon, Martin, thank you very much for the kind words. I greatly admire the work of both of you so I'm flattered to be complimented by you two.

Thanks again.
