Hello, please allow me to introduce myself

Hello all, thanks for taking the time to view my post. My name is Brian Michon and I hail from Geraldton, Ontario, Canada. Presently, I am living in Toronto, Ontario and work full time as a Graphic/Sign Artist in Brampton, Ontario. I do have some background training in Art, obtaining diplomas in Graphic and Multimedia design as well as a B.A. in Fine Art Studies.

Even though I work full time in the sign industry, I currently am trying my best, to better my skills as a painter. I have worked in watercolour and graphite and will continue to do so, however at this time I am focusing on oil painting. Although I am not totally a stranger to taking commissions, the last few years have not yielded a great amount of output. I am working on changing that. There are many things I need to learn on the art of portrait painting and I feel confident that there is a vast amount of information to be had here in this forum. I will do my best to contribute what I have to offer, although I feel for the time being, it is best I tread softly and keep my eyes open. I have attached a recent portrait which was done from my own source material.

Hello David. Thanks for replying. Sorry it has taking me a few days to acknowledge. From what I have seen, you do fine work. Very nice. It is interesting that you are as well, working in the sign industry. Given your capabilities in art, I am sure you do well there too. I look forward to seeing more of your work.
