Almost two

It's getting more and more difficult to post in this section. The caliber of offerings of late has been extremely high. In an effort to bring this back down to a more manageable level, management has asked that I post something I've done. I offer the following:

This charcoal, with very little white chalk, 12.6 x 19 on gray green paper, was created as a gift to the grandpa of the little girl. I am in the middle of an oil painting commissioned by grandpa of his wife, and this their granddaughter.

The uncropped version is the complete framed composition.

Mike, this is wonderful, very sensitive and moody. I love the lost, suggested lines of the shoulder. And you've got that "they're my teddy grahams and I'm not sharing" expression down pat.

That look...

Mike,
This just confirms something I have suspected for some time now- they know a lot more than we think they do. And they're not tellin'.

Some very nice softly rounded forms going on here. I particularly like that perfect little nose, and the soft far edge of the cheek. Nice job!

Mike -
I just saw this - it is very sweet. I always find it hard to do children with all those pudgy cheeks and soft forms and you did it great. I especially like the softness of the ear - just the right balance.

Hi Mike - I just saw your photo of this little one over in the Photographic Adventure thread. You've captured her beautifully!

By the way, that photographic thread is really informative and fun to follow -- Thanks!
