Artist intro to my open studio

Hello Everyone,

These are some demos I have done over the past year from my figure and head painting class that I teach. I see a lot of people discussing alla prima painting here and this is what i enjoy most... these were all 3 hour paintings!

Enjoy the work!

Best
Tony

Hello Tony,

I just spent several pleasant minutes poking around your website. (By the way, I'm also an admirer and former student of Morgan Weistling.)

Your work is beautiful and I hope you'll post here often!

Welcome, Tony.

I like your work and share your apparent appreciation of Robert Henri. I use his discription of art and artist often.

Welcome. I 'm also a big fan of Philip de Laszlo. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Beautiful paintings, my favorite is the one in the lower right corner. Beautiful, subtle, sequencing of tones, not at all easy to do, especially in three hours.

Sincerely,

Portrait Geneology

Thoroughbred influences (Robert Henri, Robert Henri, Philip de Laszlo and well chosen others) are evident. Thank you for your post and inspiration.
