Water Soluble and Traditional Oil Paints

I am just starting out in oil painting and have a small set of Winsor-Newton water soluble oil paints. I really like these new paints - there is no odor to speak of, and clean up and dilute in water, yet they take at least 2 weeks to dry, just like oils, which they are, but some kind of new formulation. Because of my 'wonderful' allergies to a lot of chemicals, these seem like the perfect paint for me...however: here's my question...

Has anyone tried using them in conjunction with traditional oil paints? Would this be a problem?

I am taking an oil portrait painting class, and I think everyone else will be using traditional oil paints. Should I just put the water soluble ones away and go the traditional route just for experience's sake?

I use both Winsor Newton's traditional Artist Oils and Winsor Newton's Griffin Alkyds....I mix 'em with no problems. But I only use Liquin as my medium when I use both together. I never use water.
