Just did my first exhibit

Greetings to everyone!

Thanks to the encouragement of my family, I have finally decided I am an "artist". For the last two years I have done little else but draw - trying to make up for the last 20 years or so when I was raising four children and working. This left little time for anything else and I seldom got time to draw.

I am attaching a photo of my booth which my brother helped me create. I started taking commissioned work in my immediate neighborhood last year and have now branched out. This show was in Austin Texas and was wonderful. The best part of all was meeting the other artists and finding out what great people they are.

You have provided a tremendous resource at the Artist Forum. Thanks for being so kind. You can see my work at my website www.clarksonart.com

Congratulations, Karen. Sorry to have missed this, since Austin is my newest expatriate residence in a "foreign" place.

Welcome to participation in the Forum.

Very nice drawings! I especially like "gampa explains."

Welcome!

Welcome Karen!

I really enjoyed viewing your work. You have such a nice sensitive touch to your drawings. I know you'll really add a lot to the Forum.
