Commissions for commissions

Hi everyone--

I have started working with a local PR person who is helping me get small articles placed in local papers. (I am very happy today, because I just got my first big commission as a result of her PR work)

She is beginning to take a more active interest in my work: for example, having me do some paintings of her beach club, to sell as prints and card, and hopefully to lead to portrait commissions. She is also helping me come up with a plan for holiday gifts for clients etc... she is deeply rooted in an afluent community which should have a lot of potential for clients.

So far, I have paid her on an hourly basis, but she is happy to work on commission instead. What should I offer?

By the way, any great ideas for holiday/thank you gifts out there? I'm feeling like a need to pay more attention to keeping in touch with my past clients.

Thanks!
