Is there a name for that particular background? I really love the backgrounds on some of yours like this, especially the pitcher. I'd like to try something like this.

When I think background I ask what will punch up or help the head/face. Warm/cool, red/green, tight/loose, hard/soft thin/thick-I also like Fechin and Sargent...who asked (and answered) the same questions 100 years ago. I'll post some Sargent details for Chicago.
