Greetings from Flyoverland

Hello, everyone.

I've been lurking here for a while and decided it was time to introduce myself. I'm a part-time professional painter (I like to say "semi-pro") who works in oil, watercolor, charcoal, and acrylic. I do portrait commissions and sell other work--landscapes, figurative works, occasionally still life.

Here's self portrait in graphite.

Pleased t'meecha.

Dr. Hoff, I presume. You made the right choice, you were just about to be picked up for lurking. Welcome, nice portrait.

Hi Mike,

You presume correctly. Thanks for the welcome. BTW, Tulsa is my home town of record, although I've lived in Iowa for 20 years now.

Regards

Ah, a fellow Iowan! I don't believe I've seen any others in here before. Its great to meet ya! I think I'm going to have to get some pics or self-portraits posted here one of these days. No one knows what I look like. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. I think that's a great self-portrait. I look forward to seeing what else you have up your sleeve. Welcome!

Gary,

Very interesting self-portrait. I have yet to venture out and do one. Would be interested in seeing some of your acrylics work.

Regards,
Mary
