Dance review book cover

As per Cynthia's request, I am posting this unique experience.

I was contacted by a local dance studio to paint a fun little painting for the front of their dance review cover. I knew the owner and the two little girls that I used were friends of my little girl. There are 120 girls that take dance at this studio and every one of their parents receive a copy of the book. In addition there are all of those aunts, grandmothers, cousins, etc. who also saw the book. I was given credit inside for my work. The response has been pretty good. I have had several phone calls and a couple of firm commitments. Naturally the mothers of the little girls on the front both wanted the original or at least a copy of it. One of the grandmothers had seven other grand children and we are in negotiations right now on how much it is going to cost her to get a portrait of all of them!

Most of the parents will keep this book forever because it has their children's picture inside. So even if they do not call now, they may call later.

The painting is under the critique section. The title is "Best Friends".

Hope this gives ya'll some ideas! It was really fun!

Wonderful, Rebecca!

Congratulations! It is great when little projects like that are successful beyond what your initial expecatations are.
