Thanks for that info. I'll be aiming towards getting that camera by next Christmas.
I think the last piece fell into place when I read on the site here that slides can now be made from digital images. I don't have the need presently for a lot of images, since I work full time and am painting as my side job, but hope to have that need soon

I consider learning to use a new camera and Photoshop a very worthwhile investment.
