Girlfriend drawing

More detail. This 8×10 pencil portrait of a girlfriend was commissioned by the woman’s boyfriend and shows more photo-detail than I usually put into a drawing. I prefer looser pencil strokes for fun. But I felt compelled to draw her skin like it appeared in the reference photo. I used a Blackwing pencil which is 4B on Canson pure-white paper.

Very nice job on the hair. No small matter, the hair. From what I know about women (which after a long life is very little) it's all about the hair.
