Congratulations on your solo show!

Hi Alex, congratulations on your upcoming solo show. I've always known that solo shows represent an artist's arduous journey towards building her collection and thoughts about her work and inspiration, and indeed having one is a milestone set in your illustrious career journey.

I'm sorry that i cannot be there, but always look forward to seeing your next challenges. My heart and support will be there for you on the opening night!

Your friend from Singapore

Chris, your appreciation means so much! I hardly know what to say in response. I've learned so much from you, and other consummate artists, since joining the forum, about everything from color and technique to marketing and good business sense. So if I knock your socks off, you had a hand (foot?) in it.

Thank you, Marcus! Your words of support are very welcome, and I know you understand first-hand the artist's journey. Singapore is a long way from New York, but the distance is easy to forget when we are online here.

Jeez Louise, that's a beautiful painting. Wonderful color.

You go the extra mile to get a point of view that's beyond the norm, and it really makes for interesting land and cityscapes.

Best--TE

Thank you, Tom! Your appreciation means a lot!

The Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine website doesn't seem to have links to the articles--well, of course! Then why would you buy the magazine?--so I'm linking to my blog, where you can click on the image and get an enlarged version which should be readable. Here's the link:

Opening Reception

Here are some photos from the reception.

1) That's me with my husband Steve.
2) Here I am with my sister, Sue Ann Kahn (a musician).
3)You can see there were some paintings I had forgotten to sign. Those last-minute details! My friend Diana Ansley (an artist) is watching.

Here are a few more. . . .

1) My sister talking with some friends. That's Wolf Kahn (no relation) with his back to the camera.

2) Deep in conversation (L to R): Peter Trippi, editor of Fine Art Connoisseur Magazine, Brad Marshall, another Fischbach artist, and Nancy Bea Miller, artist and SOG forum member, who also wrote the text for the article on my landscapes in FAC magazine.

Alex,
this looks like a nice clean place to exhibit.

Your out of door paintings rule the wall and show us why we have to take care of this our only planet, it's beautiful !!!

The larger views seems to incorporate the roundness of it, reminding us how fragile this limited place is.

Congratulations and good luck

Thank you, Allan. You are so right about our fragile planet. It is so vast, yet small. I think the reason I like painting aerial views is that, from up in the air, I see how land and sea are interconnected, and how much beauty there is when the human presence is kept in balance with nature.

The Fischbach Gallery has a great space with a view of the East River. A very nice place to have a show.
