Thank you both for your compliments. The parents were very pleased with the portrait as it is always gratifying to make someone happy and that they now have something in their possession they can share for generations to come. That's one of the reason's we do what we do anyway.

I still have a ways to go but am plugging away.

Hi Mike, it's so nice to see you back on here again. I really like the relationship you've shown between the siblings. The protective, nuturing quality of the girl is intriguing and tender. Congratulations!

Mike,

I'm so glad you posted this. There is a natural, spontaneous feeling to it even though it is formally posed. I can look at it a long time, appreciating how you have portrayed the relationship between the brother and sister. It is amazing how strongly the girl's hand placed on her brother's radiates emotion. There is something direct and expressive (not coy or cute) in her gesture.

I agree. The relationship here feels accurate and natural, not forced. Real life wins everytime...
