Dianne, this is off the topic just a little, but have you ever thought about creating larger paintings of historic scenes with many figures? I think you would be terrific at it.
I love the painting, by the way. Her expression makes me wonder. Is she thinking? squinting? winking? When a head is tilted to that degree it is hard to line up the features, and I see a discrepancy in her eyes--one is lower than the other. I think the one on our left (her right) might be too high at the inner corner, in other words, at the wrong angle. If you tilt it a little more it should fall into place.

Hi Tyna,
I've thought about maybe doing historic scenes in the past. Now I have a lot of photos of reenactments so I could bring it to realization. I'm waiting for my daughter to move out of my studio so I can work larger. Things are a little tight right now as I'm working in a little bedroom. It would certainly be fun to do a historic scene. Maybe someone will commission one!
I've made some repairs, how does this look?

Much better don't you think? There is one more thing that troubles me and that is the dirty looking hand under the elbow. I am sure its not but it dose come across as it mite be.
Also I believe you could expand the existing light, on her forehead, and limit the shadow on her left our right.
Don't forget to sign it! Grate job!
