Misha, the serenity of the pose has been artfully captured by your command of subtle value changes. Just beautiful!

Enzie, thank you. I really enjoy working in charcoal. It's such a fun medium. If you were here then I can do one of a fellow artist.
Thanks again Enzie.

This is an exquisite reminder of the importance of great draughtsmanship. I have recently been re-discovering the joys of charcoal and this stunning work is further inspiration. Thank you for sharing!

Jeanine, thank you.
At the moment, I am working on four drawings in charcoal plus I have three paintings in process. Yes, you are absolutely correct draftsmanships is a must. Get a good drawing down and throw a wash over it and call it done. Do you recognize this one? (not sure if it will come up ok)
I work from a 2m x 2m room in my apt. The easel faces the door so I can step back, only way to get distance. I am trying to raise enough capitol for a studio. O yes, then there is the marketing part. O boy!
Janel, thank you for such kind words.

Grethe, thank you for noticing and for taking the time to say so. Its not easy but it is a lot of fun.
With each new drawing I strive to learn something new and it newer fails there is always room for me to learn something new. I noticed that you enjoy working with charcoal. So, glad to see that. Don't get me wrong, I love working with oil but I try not to rush and think my self good.
