Hi Karin,

It is nice to see your work on line. I love the "old world" feel of all your paintings and you color choices.

This is beautifully painted, Karin, very dreamlike. I love the composition and the way the swirling forms relate to each other. I'm glad to see you posting your work again! How about some closeups?

Lovely work -- and what a great idea to create a painting based on a classical statue. So nice to see you on the Forum again, too, Karin.

As an artist, looking at this painting again, I can't help thinking about how on earth she's going to get all that oil paint from the palette out of that lovely white fabric!

Wow Karin! What a wonderful, accomplished use of velaturas; mimicking life.

Dear Karin,

Lovely! The skin tones have a perfect transitional quality - stone emerging into living flesh.
