Yes, Linda (and Linda), The first thought that struck me was Bonnard too. This definitely has that feeling about it, which may be profitable to build on, as a 21st century impressionist.

Linda,
What gorgeous color! Actually it reminds me somewhat of a Frieseke, an American impressionist.
Just a beautiful job, orchestrating color like this is a refined art in itself.
Just great Linda.

Sharon,
You beat me to it - I was going to say Frieseke also. Just beautiful, Linda!

Illuminating
Linda, what I love about this painting is the luminescence. Practically every form of the main subject matter is glowing from within and without. I am compelled to keep staring at it's warm presentation.

Thanks Geary! It's a rather dark tones painting - less bright than on this image. So the colors of the window light are really dramatic.
Sharon and Cynthia - you guys are so awesome I love him he one of my favorites. Lady in a Garden is one of my all time favorites after seeing it in person in Chicago, and seeing other works of his at the museum at Giverny made me a huge fan. Thanks and I am going to take a second look at all his work, as I have always loved the mix he brings to the canvas, and it would be a thrill to carry on his torch in my own way.
Linda
