Thank you Julie! I really do like scumbling much more than I thought I would. About halfway through this one I got tired of the whole thing and thought I'd never finish it. But after layer 3 or 4 it started to look like I wanted. That's when it became fun. I found it much easier to blend this way also. Thanks so much for commenting!

Thank you too Lisa! You really boost me up with your kind comments! I premixed Burnt Umber and White and a little Raw Sienna to make a basic skin tone for this painting. This was something I had never done before and it really made color decisions much easier for me. The underpainting really helped also. Thank you for commenting on my edges. I was particularly conscious of them this time. I appreciate you mentioning my improvement! Like everyone else, I always strive to make each painting better than the one before it.
