Judging seems to be as closely held as the the events of the Conclave.

I think sometimes there may be qualified volunteers who intially judge, but sometimes, it might be the assistant in the front office. There's no way to know what happens, which is why I think it doesn't make sense to get really upset about losing or really cocky about winning. I've had similar situations to what Jim has described.

Frankly I'm with Jim on this. When you win the judges are right. When you don't, well, what could they have been thinking?!
