Do Not use this company
I am taking this opportunity to complain and warn all against the company I ordered my new digital Rebel from.
The website is bestdigital.com
When I did a price comparison I found this one to be $571 instead of the usual $1000. After I stalked him in email (thank you for your patience!) Mike warned me to be careful because it could be some kind of European imposter-camera.
When I went to order it on the phone, I spent a long time asking questions and was assured it was the real deal. But, as it turns out I spent $1000 anyway since it did not come with cables, memory, etc. Onc I had actually given the salesman my credit card number he lost his patience with me and got off the phone fairly quickly. It was supposed to come in 3 business days. This is 2 weeks later and it is still not here. It took them only 10 minutes to electronically take the money out of my account though. As it turns out - the impatient salesman got my address wrong - even though I spelt it out for him. According to UPS it will be delivered tomorrow.
The worse part about this company is the lack of customer service. I have spent at least 5 hours waiting on hold - there is no customer service in on Fridays...there appears to never be a manager and every single person I have talked to has put me on hold or hung up on me while I was still talking.
I know 2 weeks in reality is not that long - but I am used to having a camera every day and it has made me crazy. That's why I was willing to pay for express delivery. I am not a patient person and this has totally messed me up. It's like waiting for a pot of water to boil.
Just wanted to warn you all - this is not a company I would recommend to anyone.

What a frustrating experience, Kim!
For any future accessories you might need... , I've had very good luck with Adorama Camera (in NYC--- www.adorama.com), surprisingly quick turnaround and knowledgeable, helpful customer service. I got my Digital Rebel from them last December.

Kim,
I had fantastic and polite service from Calumet, when I ordered my D100 two years ago. At the time they had the best honest price, and were the only dealer with this camera in stock, so it came in two days! So I would highly recommend them:

Sorry about your ordeal,
Garth
