My wife just told me that Court TV will air a program tomorrow about the great heist at the Isabella Stuart Gardner Museum. In 1990, several masterworks were stolen, and none has been recovered yet. I've read a story claiming that a reporter had been taken to see the paintings, and that demands had been made for their return, but apparently nothing has come of that.
I visited the ISG museum last month. I knew that Rembrandt's "Jesus in a storm on the sea of Galilee" had been stolen, but did not know from where, until I went there. Isabella Stuart Gardner stated in her will that the permanent exhibit shall never change, so there are empty frames hanging on the walls in the place of the stolen pieces.
I'll make a point of watching this one. It airs at 6PM Central time.
