Thanks, Linda and Mike. Peter is a fascinating guy who's on a lot of boards and really gives back to the community. He has a home on Nacote Creek and loves that environment.
At first he wanted me to paint him on his deck outside, in a tuxedo. That's also very much in tune with his personality but I like this treatment much better.
I appreciate your comment especially, Linda, because your outdoor portraits are so lovely. The bench the subject is seated on in one of my favorites of yours is very much like the sort of furniture that Peter manufactures, too.
Living where I do, boats are part of the background. One reason why I like it here!
