Re-done, refreshed, new

It has been brought to my attention, that some people really felt that my older paintings were better than my new ones, so I have moved some of them to the critique area.

"Madeline in period clothing" was first posted and then taken down; it wasn't ready yet.

I think as portraits go, this is one of my best. It is unfortunate I can't put the original on here. I think my teachers would be proud.

When you look at this it gives you a sense of old world and makes you feel so pleasent.

Carl, thank you for your input on this one. I wish the image did it justice.

You really gave it your Beth Schott

Congrats on the one-man show. Please let us know how it went when it's done. I hope you're getting lots of publicity.

You've been working really hard this year. I've been very impressed with your drive, and the improvements you've made in your work. You're a motivating factor in my work, yet I'm lagging far behind.

Good luck!

P.S. If your name is't pronounced "shot", I apologize for the pun. If it is, I still apologize.

Wow Beth! Those brushes are smokin' girl! It looks like you are ready for that show. I know how much work you have put into getting ready for this. Anyone who paints by flashlight during a power outage has some serious drive. Having seen two of these paintings in person, I can say that your photos do not do them justice. Great job!

Paint on!

Beth,

Great job. I really like your "Secret" painting. It has a cool feel to it that compliments the warm skin tones. Good luck with your show!

Sincerely,

Beth,

These paintings are so nice, especially seeing them in the before and after stage. I think THE SECRET is a wonderful painting, very fresh and the expressions, eye contact and color are dead on.

Go girl! Your show will be a smash hit! (is that old Beatles talk, yeah, yeah, yeah!)

Denise
