Tim, I may have mentioned that I participated in what I believe was the last class Bettina Steinke gave. She brought about a dozen portraits with her, many were charcoals from several decades passed. She was the most restrained and econmical painter I've ever seen, not one superfluous stroke, anywhere. In some, you could literally count the strokes she placed.

Karin, it's a struggle to find time to brush my teeth these days! But if I do find some extra time, I took some lovely photographs of Bettina in that class, and would like to spend the spare moments seeing what I could paint from them.
