Cathedral ceiling

Hello all,

I am planning to have my own studio built this year, and have been reading all the related threads from this Forum. From one thread, someone suggested a higher ceiling (but I cannot remember how high, off-hand). Now, does it matter if it is a regular ceiling or cathedral high ceiling? The latter is cheaper to built, but does it have any adverse effects with the lighting in the studio?

Sincerely,
Mai
