Pastels on Linen




I have noticed that some artists advertise "pastels on linen". Is this linen canvas? If so, is any pretreatment of the canvas needed? Also, is it fixed as pastel paper, when finished? Thanks.

Pastel on canvas

I tried pastel on canvas once. I tried fixing it with spray, but the pigment practically disappears! I had to throw the artwork away.

Interested though, if there is a good system.
