Another Missionary Portrait

Another pastel portrait of a missionary. This one is 14" x 12" on Strathmore drawing paper, off white, not my favorite for pastels.

Do you think the skin is too hot? I tried to cool it down, but didn't want to muddy it up, so I left it alone.

I think the skin color is fine. I also think it's a fine portrait. I can't find anything that I would change, and I am usually very hard to please.

Missionary

Julianne, I agree with Linda, they are both very successful portraits. They depict the "heavenly nature" of your subjects. Can you tell us a little more about these young men?

Thank you all for your kind words and critique.

Both young men are missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints here in Decatur, Alabama. They are from Utah and are away from their families & friends for two years as they serve. This was a last minute gift I thought would be nice for their parents. It took me from about 6-8 hours each. I did 4 different young men. Whew! I still have a portrait of three kids, a pencil portrait of a family of nine and a single subject yet to complete prior to Christmas. Tell me again...when do I do MY Shopping?
