Pictures of the progression?
I have viewed this portrait many times on your site, Marvin, and it really does appear to be alive and kicking!
I would love to make a request of you for all of us on the site who cannot come to New York City for a few months, rent an apartment in the city, and study with you every Tuesday night - hehe.
Maybe, just maybe you would take a sequence of digitals of your painting in progress during one of your life sessions - and post it here?
Of course, you could always make a video -- not quite the same - but many of us would buy it I bet.
Thank you for posting this wonderful portrait in such a nice format here - on the SOG forum!
Sincerely,

Marvin,
This is really an extraordinary portrait. Great painting!
How far away from the model were you when you painted this? Lately I've been trying to paint in a more "classical realist" style when I paint from life and I find I have focus problems either on the model end or the paintbrush end of things. Or maybe I'm just a lot older than you are.
I'm another one who'd love to see a step-by-step life painting demo that takes your work all the way up to this level of finish.

Marvin: Let me be a third voice to that kind of demo from life. We have Bill Whitaker lined up to show a couple of life portraits he did and it would be a great benefit to have you do a demo also. Please consider it, and if you want to do it, then send me an email and we can set it up with Peggy who moderates that section.

Breathtaking
Marvin, she is magnificent! I'm glad I found this thread.
I recommend any workshop that you teach to anyone who wants to learn. It's worth the airfare and hotel!
CSOPA is grateful for your particiaption and we are all on the waiting list to purchase your video!
May all your wishes come true.
We love you!
Jeanine
