Dear all portrait artists

Hello all you great portrait artists.I looked around this forum for a while, and I am so thrilled to find names known from my various artists magazines, among the members here. I live in Norway and do not have any connection with other artists interested in portraiture where I live, so it is most valuable for me to be accepted as a member. Thank you. in return I am hoping to somehow contribute to this forum. I have been dedicated to the art of portraiture for many years. I have done some commissions, but consider myself on an advanced student level. I work mostly in dry media , but plan to develop a technique in oil painting. I have been mentored in the discipline known (or maybe not so known )as Nerdrum School here in Norway. I did intensive portrait drawing studies at the Florence Academy ,Italy. I plan to develop further the traditional sight size method . as well as exploring the possibilities whit my Canon 350D
Here is two sample of my work

Welcome to the forum, Grethe! If you jump in and start posting your work, you will get to know many other artists. I've gotten to know many people through the forum and it has definitely enlarged my "art world." Like Terri, I'm partial to your head study, and I also especially like the composition of your triple portrait and the face of the boy.

Alex

How nice to hear from you all,
Alexandra; I am happy to hear you like the composition in the tripe, in the first place I did`t want to do three in one. But this was commissioned and the mum wanted all her children in one drawing.
Claudemir: thank you very much.or muito obrigado.
Allan: it is indeed nice to meet a neighbor here, and thank so much for the link, I will look into it, sounds very interesting. Tusen takk.
Tom Glad to be here, thank you.
Marina Thank you very much, too
