This is another alla prima sketch I did yesterday, 16" x 20" on masonite. Sorry about the glare on the cheek.

Holly, great job. This is the best painterly heads I've seen you, or anyone else for that matter, paint. I'm not too crazy about the background though. It's distracting me from her. Are you painting on a very smooth surface? You should try something with a little more tooth so the paint doesn't slide around so much. Also a larger brush might help as well. All in all, very impressive.
