Cynthia, that means a lot coming from you! Thank you a thousand times.
Julie, funny you should notice! It was actually quite a challenge to do her hair and I had hoped the green would be a nice compliment to it.
Bonfim, thanks for your encouraging words!

wow I'm loving it! Her eyes, her skin, her gaze. She is so lucky to have such a great artist as a mother.

From a Grandma....a captivating and beautiful painting. Just makes me smile. I love the gesture and you "do" baby well, which is hard to draw or paint a this young of an age. Looking forward to seeing more...

That was a very sweet comment, Patricia. I've realized that since I only posted this painting--and that it's only number one of a series I'm doing--it may seem strange that I painted her with her fingers in her mouth! I'm surprised that without knowing that you still thought it captivating. The fact that it makes a grandma smile, makes ME smile Thanks again!

Natalie, if this were part of a large genre scene it could be in a museum. There is a timeless beauty in this portrait of your daughter.

Garth and Mara, thanks for your flattery. Whenever I feel the air leaking out of my head, I'll check back on this forum and re-read your responses to blow it back up again.
