Dear Michael,

I also read the photo resource and painting critiques, but I have to say I don't interpret them at all in the same way you do. To the contrary, I think there is an overall recognition of the problems inherent in photographs, and I see that the comments are largely designed to be helpful in avoiding their pitfalls. When a poster asks for help, it is often in the area of likeness, and the only possible way any of us might be able to help is to look at the resource photo to do so.
