Rachel (with Scout & Jyg...)
Hi,
Just finished this commission for a repeat client of mine... This is the same girl I painted several years ago --when she was younger!-- playing her violin.
This is "Rachel"
32"x32"

A lovely painting Terry. In the recent update of the main site, I included this in two galleries...People & Pets and Girls Teen.

Thanks Chris & Cynthia!
Cynthia -- I've actually had the hardest time getting a true-to-color image of this on-line... Something strange is happening with the fleshtones -- a sort of graying out. It's frustrating because it looks fine on my own Mac, but then if I visit the same page/image from another computer or say my cell phone, she'll look deathly gray especially from about midway down. The fleshtones look consistent top-to-bottom and 'alive' (as in not gray!) on the actual painting and though I've noticed a very slight color shift when converting other photos for the web, I haven't had this dramatic of a difference before. Is anyone else seeing the 'gray'? Any thoughts on an image format or approach that might minimize this problem??
There's a larger image of this painting here: http://terrificenec.com/page/wip/ima.../rachelLG.jpeg
I'd be curious to hear from anyone who clicks through whether the flesh tones appear 'normal' or 'gray' on your screens. . .?
