My Daughter
Here is the first of many portraits (I'm sure) of my daughter. I wonder how many months old she will be before she gets sick of being my model
I did this portrait from a photo, but kept her near by to see her skintones from life. I hope the color comes through as a good second-best to the real thing. I just got a new camera and am getting used to its quirks.

Not many people do infant portraits well - I'm impressed.

Love how you've highlighted her reddish hair. Nice color scheme to go with it, composition, skin tones... great!

Cynthia, that means a lot coming from you! Thank you a thousand times.
Julie, funny you should notice! It was actually quite a challenge to do her hair and I had hoped the green would be a nice compliment to it.
Bonfim, thanks for your encouraging words!

wow I'm loving it! Her eyes, her skin, her gaze. She is so lucky to have such a great artist as a mother.

From a Grandma....a captivating and beautiful painting. Just makes me smile. I love the gesture and you "do" baby well, which is hard to draw or paint a this young of an age. Looking forward to seeing more...
