After W Bouguereau - 24cm x 30cm in oil study

This artist is one of my favorites.While visiting France, I drove from Paris and spent a day at his home town of La Rochelle. A lovely place!

Bouguereau is one of my very favorites also. This is lovely.
I can't find anything to critique whatsoever aside from the photograph which shows up very light on my screen.

You have a remarkable eye for detail.

This was done in two sittings. It was more a exercise in understanding value and hue then drawing accuracy. When I have time I quite enjoy doing such studies for they help me understand value control in creating form.

When I get to it, I must reshape the chin and neck for what a story they tell.
